Happy Birthday María!!

I started this blog for many reasons. One of them was that none of my friends were interested in fashion at all, and I wanted to share everything that came to my mind when I read a magazine, saw a collection or watched a film. They maybe care about what's "in" this spring, but if I ever talked to them about Dries Van Noten, Christian Lacroix or the Hermés birkin they wouldn't understand a single word. It's not that I think it is wrong not knowing about fashion, not everyone needs to know the difference between silk and satin.

Fortunately, I met María. It is amazing how similar we are. We can have a conversation in which terms like "klein blue", "Agyness Deyn style" or "prettier than Marina Pérez" are included and we don't need to explain ourselves. The best thing is going to Madrid Fashion Week together and talk about all the things we see and laugh.

These photos are for one of the best people I've ever met. I know she'll love it. Pictures of Jon (Kortajarena, of course), who we met last year and showed us that he's as nice as attractive. Happy Birthday María, hope you have a great time and invite me to your Vogue editor in chief office someday.

Empecé a escribir este blog por muchas razones. Una de ellas era que ninguna de mis amigas está realmente interesada por la moda y quería compartir todas las cosas que se me iban ocurriendo al ver una colección, leer una revista, etc. Puede que les interese qué se lleva esta temporada, pero si les hablara de Dries Van Noten, Christian Lacroix o el birkin de Hermés no entenderían ni una palabra. No es que me parezca mal, para nada, cada uno sabe de lo que sabe y no todo el mundo tiene por qué saber distinguir el crèpe del lino.

Por suerte, conocí a María. Es increíble lo parecidos que son nuestros gustos. Podemos tener una conversación en la que estén incluidas las expresiones "azul klein", "estilo Agyness Deyn" o "tan guapa como Marina Pérez" y entendernos a la perfección. Lo mejor de todo es ir a Cibeles juntas y comentar todo lo que vemos, reírnos de algunas cosas que pasan y pasarlo genial.

Aquí le dejo a una de las mejores personas que he conocido una cosa que sé que le encantará. Fotos de Jon (Kortajarena, por supuesto), al que tuvimos el (inmenso) placer de conocer. Porque es tan simpático como guapo (así que imaginaos lo genial que es). Feliz Cumpleaños María, espero que cumplas muchos más y me invites a tu despacho de directora jefe de Vogue algún día.
