A breath of optimism with Sandro F/W 2011/12

I love this Sandro ad. It's so fun and happy, it reminds me of that Dali picture with a cat flying and water flowing out of a bucket in the air. Look at the girl's expression and the little boy almost floating in the air.

25 costume ideas for Halloween
I love costume parties, especially when people work hard and wear original costumes, preferably made by them. Now that Halloween is around the corner, what about some costume ideas? Have you already decided what you'll be wearing? Here you have some inspiration...

What a magazine should be
"I simply cannot release this issue the way it is.
If I let this go through, I will have failed the American woman.
The great American woman, who stands out there naked, waiting for me to tell her what to wear.
It doesn't speak.
And if it won't speak to me, it won't speak to anyone.
A magazine must be like a human being.
If it comes into the home it must contribute.
It just can't lie around.
A magazine must have...
...blood and brains and pizzazz.
This is just paper.
If I send paper to the American
woman, I will have let her down"
This scene is from Funny Face, a film with Audrey Hepburn about a young librarian who turns into a fashion model. The woman talking is the editor in chief of a fashion magazine called "Quality", the fictional version of Vogue or Harper's Bazaar. The woman says that after looking at the preview of the latest issue of the magazine, which she hates after having a look a it. Then she has the "great" idea of making an issue dedicated to pink and everybody dances. I think it's a quite bad film, but the dialogue about the magazine is so true. A magazine must be innovative, must make us think.

Dior Party in Madrid: 4D Augmented Reality

Dior held a party at the Palacio de Cibeles in Madrid on Monday. An amazing place and lots of great people invited. Sidney Toledano (Dior CEO) was there, Eugenia Silva, Nieves Álvarez, Marina Jamieson, Antonio Navas, Mayte de la Iglesia, Clara Alonso... I had the pleasure of enjoying the company of Patricia and her sister. We had a great time!
Some minutes before midnight, the lights went off and they screened a video on one of the facades of the building creating a wonderful 4D effect. Fragments of the new ad with Charlize Theron, some frames from the Miss Dior Chérie with Natalie Portman, the fashion show... Luckily I had my camera and recorded the whole piece. Here you have it, I'm sure you'll love it! It was a magical experience.

What a cool outfit! :)
