The blogger handbag

"I'm a blogger.
Be nice to me...
Or I'll blog about you"

This was the handbag that the team at Mujer.es gave us at the presentation of their new website. Even though it's in spanish, I recommend you take a look, it's gonna be huge.

----------

Streetstyling with Kipling by JC/DC

kipling

The other day Kipling organized a very fun event for bloggers in which they showed us their new collaboration with Jean Charles de Castelbajac. Lots of fun prints and details, you'll love it! (Available at Kipling stores this season and online). In the event we were photographed by Marc Palencia, after we had been stylized by Ana Gayo (helped by Lili Jiménez) and Tere Alamillo para The Beauty Class (helped by Cristina Hurtado).

My camera had no battery, but fortunately Mamen let me use hers to take photos of the best dressed. Being a streetstyle photographer is quite fun! And the place where we met was amazing, the rooftop of the Hotel Me in Plaza Santa Ana (Madrid), so the pictures looked great anyway.

Les Archives de la Presse: Vintage magazines and posters

archives de la presse

The Paris guide keeps getting bigger and bigger! After discovering 0fr and Noir Kennedy, it's turn for Les Archives de la Presse, a classic in every fashionista's trip to Paris. There you will find a huge selection of fashion magazines from 1900 and late 90's, such as vintage Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, Interview, and some other french magazines. You'll come across film, photo, music, architecture, decoration and celebrities magazines too. The prices get higher as you flip through the earlier archives, but you can find some treasures at lower prices.

Apart from the vintage magazines, they also sell vintage (and current) original advertising posters, as the Jude Law for Dior you can see below. It was around 60€, I almost bought it! But I have no space in my walls to hang it...

So, next time you go to Paris, visit Les Archives de la Presse (51 rue des Archives).

-------------

Desperately seeking the perfect trench and parka

I think a good wardrobe is composed by several basics that fit perfectly and that you really love. You can wear them almost everyday and they make you look great. They are classics, and never will be unfashionable, they are always the trend. Instead of a purchase it's an investment. I have the perfect jeans (Levi's Curve ID), the perfect denim jacket (G-Star), the perfect biker jacket (Weareselecters), and I'm missing the perfect trench and the perfect parka. Those are the two things I have to find this winter season.

I know the perfect trench is Burberry, but I'm afraid that it's not in my budget, and the perfect parka could be Isabel Marant. What do you think? Do you own the it-trench and a it-parka?

Oh, and also, check the "20 ways of wearing a trench coat" post I published last winter.

Passion is always the fashion

Cristina Piña S/S 2012

Dreams do come true. This is an example. Cristina Piña is a longtime blogger and friend that always showed up at every event dressed in fabulous clothes, and to our surprise, she always said she had made them herself when we asked where she had bought that cute skirt, dress, or blouse. A couple of years later, two collections later, and lots of hard work, she held a fashion show this month in Valencia to present her Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Her dream had come true, at least a part of it (I'm sure she'll be in Paris Fashion Week soon).

The collection is titled Copacabana, but at the show they played "The girl from Ipanema". As they told her, obvious is not cool! :) A great choice. Turbans, skirts made of seeds, diva dresses... love it.

Inspired by Winona Ryder

winona ryder
I love Winona Ryder, she's a great actress. She's the best emo in Beetlejuice, the sweetest girl in Edward Scissorhands, the tomboy Joe in Little Women, and the revengeful teen in Heathers. I still have to watch Coppola's Dracula, and Reality Bites. As a headline on the cover of Seventeen from 1990 said, "Winona, the girl who has it all: Fame, fortune, and Johnny" She dated Johnny Depp when she was 18 years old, they dated for three years, and even got engaged.

She's the master of minimalist grunge, black, short hair and goth looks. The perfect muse for Marc Jacobs (check the Marc Jacobs campaign in which Winona stars)
