Let's not open a yes/no smoking debate. (I'm against breathing toxic air). But let's enjoy some backstage pics of models smoking. Just think how their skin will look after years of cigarettes!
I just saw this picture of Tasha (thanks anonymous commenter :) from Viktor & Rolf, which is my favourite backstage picture, and I had to post it. It shows how the smokers are in desperate need of cigarettes 24/7, but also shows the beauty of good photography.
So now, which models are non-smokers? That's the question.
Notes: The only model I know she doesn't smoke is Caroline Trentini.
It is sad, I was disappointed when I saw Gemma or Jeisa smoking...

Those girls are smoking hot but it's a deal-breaker for this guy. Also, cigarettes are so expensive here in Manhattan, I'd rather spend my money on good food. Btw, I love your blog; it has depth.

i'm a definite non-smoker (and give smokers a wide berth when i'm out and about) but perhaps the models use the ciggies as appetite suppressants?

Great post! I hate everything about smoking, so it is very disappointing seeing some of my favorite models do it, even though it might be so they wouldn't feel the hunger.

I guess Suvi Koponen doesn't smoke either. Maybe it's just talk, but that's what I've heard.. And as a Finnish girl myself I'm so glad if she doesn't! Maybe you know better? Does Suvi smoke?

sadly, a little cancer stick in the mouth is fashionable, there's no denying it, no matter how much I hate the smell of a cigarette.
They make it look so cool, even though as a former smoker I know it is not cool to smoke and not easy to quit either. 3 attempts it took me. I have been smoke free from 2003 and now I can't stand the smell of it.

Just ionic-ally that i just picked up my first stick of cigarette last weekend and coughed badly due to my asthma.
Beauty is not forever, but health is essential. I haven't smoked since.
it sux they smoke. but they look really cool doing it. i don't smoke, but sometimes if i'm drinking i will try it out to look cool and start coughing my lungs up :)
